Course description:

Whether you are working on new pumping systems design, an update to an existing system or the evaluation of a current systems, flow modeling software can help you in analyzing and solving a wide range of problems where accurate flow and pressure throughout the pumping systems must be determined. Today’s solution for improving energy efficiency and reliability for both open and closed loop systems, which can include systems with multiple supply tanks, multiple pump in series or parallel and multiple discharge points and can easily and quickly be modeled by utilizing advanced flow analysis software tools.

Course Learning objectives include:

  • Utilize Pump Performance data such as flow/head curves, fixed head and fixed flow rates in the modeling software
  • Learn how to design using flow modeling to draw a systems, size piping, and specify materials, while ensuring that the model can be updated at any time
  • Gain insights into flow modeling databases of standard fluids, pipe materials, pipe sizing and pipe fittings
  • Hands-on teaching demonstrations, which will provide excellent learning opportunities in building reliable calculation engines, which can solve any flow and pressure losses by using built-in equations and engineering formulas.

This course is intended for design engineers coming from engineering consulting firms or engineering procurement companies, and also wide range of end-user engineers who own and operate and complex pumping systems.
